Our Operations

Internal medicine is part of the field of operation: medicine, dermatology, and rheumatology. The department has a regional and county-wide responsibility for outpatient and inpatient internal medicine care, as well as for parts of the acute medical management at Uppsala University Hospital.

We conduct extensive internal medicine operations with care in medical wards, acute care units, and intermediate care units, as well as work in the emergency department.

Your Mission

As a senior physician with us, you will work clinically with internal medicine care in inpatient and emergency medicine. The tasks include work in medical wards, acute care units including intermediate care, and handling acute internal medicine issues in the emergency department.

• supervision of residents, interns, and medical students
• teaching and clinical education
• participation in operational development and quality work
• on-call duties as a medical backup

As a senior physician, you are expected to actively contribute to the development of internal medicine care, education, and research at the clinic.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is:

• a specialist in internal medicine
• has a doctoral degree
• has at least five years of clinical experience after obtaining specialist competence

You possess strong clinical skills and documented experience in supervision and teaching. Experience in research, quality work, and medical leadership is advantageous.

Your Competence

We place great importance on personal suitability. You have good collaboration skills, are communicative, and contribute to a positive and developing work environment. You have a clear commitment to education, research, and medical development.
